More good news - Ret. Officers meet Obama aides on Interrogation Policy

This item took a bit of finding but the Washington Post web site has it covered.

In a glimmer of sanity, a number of retired military officers is seeking to undo the Bush damage by rolling back the US policy that allows torture. They are seeking to return the US to the moral high ground and draw some unneeded heat out of the Middle East.

I hope the President Elect is listening. A few less folk seeking to kill Americans must be a good thing. I still can't fathom why Bush couldn't work it out but at least Obama appears to be a thinker. With any luck intelligence will out.

A general is quoted calling Bush & Co. "lazy, stupid and pseudo-tough.". Gotta love it.
I just can't wait until I can be intelligently proud of my country again.

It's certainly heading in the right direction although I was rather dismayed to see some very hostile anti-Obama material on a different blog (WordPress) site. It seems the folks who embraced Bush have decided to take out their disappointment on the President Elect.

I guess that is easier than admitting Bush was such a dud.

well - a "glimmer of sanity" would be the phrase for it - considering Shrub still seems deluded that he even screwed anything up - i hope sanity managed to prevail
